BAMBOO HUTS
The project aimed to craft a combined living and working environment for two artists within the vibrant Franconia Sculpture Park. Focused on embodying the park's whimsical essence, the design prioritized playfulness and mystery. Nestled amidst layers of vertical bamboo poles, the structures include distinct buildings to house artists, workshops, and a communal area. Two studio spaces, housed in the largest light blue building, engage with the public, while the orange and yellow striped building combines the living and kitchen spaces, discreetly positioned yet accessible. The artists' living quarters are strategically placed in smaller buildings, furthest from the public entrance, ensuring maximum privacy. This thoughtful arrangement not only provides functional spaces for creativity but also integrates seamlessly with Franconia Sculpture Park's dynamic and enchanting atmosphere.
